Past Summits PAST SUMMITS
The World Summit movement began with the First World Summit in Australia in 1995, hosted by the Australian Children's Television Foundation (ACTF). World Summits since 1995 have been held in London, UK; Thessalonica Greece; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Karlstad Sweden 2010.

Each has focused on different issues in children's media to collectively encompass television, radio and new media. Inspired by the World Summits, regional summits and forums have also occurred since 1995 in Manila, The Philippines; Toronto, Canada; Johannesburg, South Africa; and form part of the World Summit Movement.

Material from past summits will be progressively added to this site and will include transcripts of sessions, research outcomes, final reports, charters and declarations.

Some of the reports are large files to download. If you have difficulty opening the file, right click with your mouse and select the 'Save As' option to save the file completely to your computer, then open it with adobe acrobat.
